Paediatric Nephrology (kidney specialists)

We are a team of 6 paediatric nephrologists (5.3 WTEs) who cover the South-West region from Truro up to Swindon. We run peripheral clinics as follows:

Dr Caroline Platt – Taunton, Torbay, South Bristol

Dr Carol Inward – Exeter, Barnstaple, North Bristol

Dr Jan Dudley – Gloucester, North Bristol

Dr Lieke Hogenoboom – Plymouth, Truro

Investigations of renal tract anomalies will usually be performed by the local hospital (where possible) unless there is a concern about the need for early renal replacement therapy or high likelihood of early surgical / urological intervention.

We are always happy to provide antenatal counselling, either face to face or virtually, depending on the clinical situation and family / clinician preference.
